An individual’s success at any work or activity depends on his competency for that particular task. In other words a person’s efficiency or superior performance is based on his certain underlying traits or competencies. Therefore what makes a person suitable or otherwise unsuitable for undertaking a task or responsibility is his personal traits. So is the case of an entrepreneur. The underlying traits which enable a person to perform well in the field of entrepreneurship are called entrepreneurial traits. One’s traits are a compound of knowledge, skill and motives. When knowledge and skills can be acquired through reading and practice motives are the inner urge which drives a person to an action. The irony in relation to the personal traits is that one may be at many times unconscious of such competencies. In such situations it becomes imperative that the person is made to identify such innate traits and tuned to excellence.
