  1. Marammat: An Innovative Entrepreneurial Venture for Automated Painting and Plastering Solutions Towards Sustainable Construction Practices

For a long time, the construction industry has been straining in issues regarding safety, output, and the environment, especially in the finishing activities that include painting and plastering, which are still mostly undertaken by human workers and thus take a lot of time and quality inconsistency has been very common. This paper introduces Marammat, a start-up that was created at NICMAR University, Pune, which offers a mix of automation technologies to provide painting and plastering solutions that are efficient, high-quality, and eco-friendly. The research employs a case-based design and combines various data sources: global market trends data, Pune stakeholders survey data, and financial feasibility modeling. The results show that Marammat’ s method not only improves the efficiency, and safety but also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 3 (Health and Well-being), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). The project is financially viable with break-even expected within three years, and social and ecological benefits that are not contentious. Impact is not just on the company but also on the policy, academia, and industry thus showing how the entrepreneurial innovations can facilitate the digital transformation of construction while at the same time promoting sustainable development.

  2. Exploring the Impact of Digital India Initiatives on Secondary School Education: A Systematic Literature Review

This research paper highlights the impact of digital India initiatives on secondary school education. Digital India Programme (DIP) inaugurated in the year of 2015 by our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. The motto behind the programme to literate people digitally and to be served digitally. It covers every sector including education sector. It introduced many digital initiatives in education sectors. DIP has potential to reduce digital divide and increase learning outcome. This study systematically reviews existing literature to examine the impact of Digital India initiatives on secondary school education. This research paper reviews of research papers, research articles, government reports, and policy documents published between 2015 and 2025 was conducted. It also discusses how DIP has led to increased technology and digital awareness in schools, improved digital literacy among students. Still, challenges remain, including inadequate infrastructure in rural areas, insufficient teacher training, and poor internet access. It gives the insights that the Digital India program is changing secondary schools by adding more digital enabled facility and services. However, there is a need to improve internet and power facilities, provide better teacher training, and ensure every school has the right digital teaching and learning approach. With these improvements, Digital India Programme is a promising strategy to becoming game changer in the education system.

  3. Enhancing Human Resource (HR) effectiveness through Emotional Intelligence: A Multi-Criteria Decision-making Approach.

Emotional Intelligence (EI) plays a pivotal role in determining professional success, particularly in people-centric roles such as Human Resource Management. However, there remains limited empirical clarity on which specific EI dimensions most significantly contribute to the effectiveness of Human Resource Professionals (HRPs). This study attempted to identify, prioritize EI dimensions which most significantly affect the success of Human Resource Professionals (HRPs). Using a mixed-method approach combining literature review and expert consultation, key EI dimensions were structured into a hierarchical framework and analysed using the multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) based Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Pairwise comparisons from 50 HR experts revealed self-awareness, stress management, and empathy as the most influential dimensions, followed by optimism, orderliness, and decision-making. The study provides a systematic and data-driven framework for evaluating EI competencies among HRPs, offering valuable implications for HR recruitment, training, and leadership development strategies. While this study was conducted on HRPs across diverse industries to improve the generalizability of the findings, future studies should replicate this study in various countries, different professions, and cultural settings to validate the results. Overall, the work highlights central role of EI in enhancing HR effectiveness and organisational performance.

  4. Does the Subhadra Scheme Contribute to the SDGs? Evidence from Odisha

The Sustainable Development Gaols (SDGs) play a significant role in long term economic development and in creating a condusive environment for economic-driven growth. As it contribute to the global platform, helps protect the environment, and improve citizen’s overall standard of living. Apart from that, the SDGs serve as an framework for improving both socio-economic indicators and the country’s economic growth. Subhadra scheme is one such attempt to achieve the (SDGs related to women empowerment, better standard of living, and filling the gender gap) in Odisha. In addition to the Subhadra scheme, there is a significant role for women’s empowerment and self-reliance. The scheme provides two phases of 5000 rupees to the women age group between 21 to 60 in a particular financial year. This paper attempts to examine whether the Subhadra scheme transfer benefits to women, enhancing their economic empowerment and self-reliance in various districts of Odisha. In addition, we will discuss or synthesize how the Subhadra scheme contribute to the SDGs. This study also sheds light on the future prospect of women empowerment, issues, challenges, and ways forward towards SDGs. Through the findings, we suggest that the transfer benefit scheme is essential for women’s economic strength, self-determination and upliftment. However, there are obstacles in implementation including insufficient funding, inadequate monitoring and other implementational challenges.

  5. Valuation of Women’s Unpaid Household Work: A Rural-Urban Analysis

Our  society as a whole always expects women to perform all the household chores and still take the secondary role to that of a men who is  the breadwinner; but within that household, the woman is serving all the household members which hinders her opportunity to grow and be skilled, which in turn lead to gender inequality in a long-run.in this paper we have tried to calculate the value of unpaid household works of women across rural and urban area (with their other demographic features) of Bargarh district, Odisha, India. Then we have compared both the values, and we found that the value of unpaid household work is more in rural area and they devote more time and effort to perform these activities. For women to be educated or skilled which is a major factor of their empowerment first they need to reduce the time they are devoting for unpaid domestic and care works. Actually, government should take some steps for this; like- providing water and fuel facilities, providing creche and day care centers (as doing work with small babies makes the task more challenging taking more tome) and so on.

  6. Uncovering the latent structure of the logistics performance index: A principal component approach

This study examines the statistical structure and dimensional properties of the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) using 672 country-year observations. Descriptive results indicate moderate average logistics performance (Mean = 3.033) with substantial cross-country heterogeneity, particularly in infrastructure quality and customs efficiency. Pairwise correlations among the six LPI components are exceptionally high (r = 0.806–0.980, p < .001), suggesting strong linear dependence. Variance Inflation Factor diagnostics confirm severe multicollinearity, with four indicators exceeding the critical threshold of 10. To address this issue, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is applied. The first principal component explains 90.86% of the total variance (eigenvalue = 5.451) and exhibits uniformly strong positive loadings across all indicators (0.387–0.419), indicating a single dominant dimension of logistics performance. The findings demonstrate that LPI components capture overlapping aspects of a unified latent construct rather than distinct independent dimensions. The study provides methodological justification for dimensionality reduction in LPI-based econometric modeling and highlights the necessity of integrated logistics policy interventions.

  7. Investing for Tomorrow: Awareness and Adoption of Sustainable Finance

Sustainable finance is an essential method of combating climate change, reducing social inequity, and creating a more resilient economy over the long term, while still providing responsible capital allocation. This research uses a conceptual and descriptive method of analysing the role of knowledge about sustainable finance products (e.g., green bonds, ESG-based stocks/bonds) in enabling investors to use these types of products. The research reviews the latest academic research on investor behaviour as well as the current regulatory framework around sustainable finance. It also examined policy papers on sustainable finance. All sources provide insight into how investment literacy, regulatory support, technological innovation and transparent ESG reporting impact investor confidence and engagement in the area of sustainable finance. The research indicates that major barriers exist to increasing sustainable finance involvement among retail investors. Some of these barriers are the lack of information regarding the types of sustainable finance products available, the complexity of the various sustainable finance products, the absence of uniform standards to measure ESG performance and the concern that many sustainable finance products may in fact be greenwashing. By examining case studies on the development of sovereign green bonds in India and examining the growth of ESG mutual funds in India, it is clear that as retail investors become more educated about the area of sustainable finance, they will ultimately move toward making investment decisions. The findings of this research indicate that retail investors are more willing to invest in sustainable finance products when they are provided credible data, supported by regulatory oversight and provided educational programs that enable them to expand their investment literacy. Without the collective efforts of policymakers, the financial sector, the education system, and society as a whole, sustainable finance will not become a truly mainstream and impactful driver of economic development, increased environmental sustainability, and long-term financial stability.

  10. Consumer perception and adoption of plastic money in India: An empirical study

The emergence of plastic money has significantly transformed the payment behavior of consumers across the globe, including India. Rising disposable incomes, technological advancement in banking services, growth in the retail and tourism sectors, and the increasing adoption of digital financial systems have accelerated the use of debit and credit cards as alternatives to traditional cash transactions. This study examines consumer perception, acceptance, and usage patterns of plastic money among Indian consumers. The research further investigates the major factors influencing customer attitudes toward plastic money and identifies the benefits and challenges associated with its usage. The study is primarily based on empirical data collected from 212 respondents through a structured questionnaire. The findings reveal that convenience, speed of transactions, portability, and ease of use are the major factors encouraging consumers to adopt plastic money. However, concerns regarding security, card loss, and transaction-related risks continue to influence consumer confidence. The study concludes that while plastic money is increasingly becoming a preferred mode of payment in India, strengthening transaction security and consumer trust remains essential for wider adoption.
