In the present cloud computing environment optimal task scheduling enables effective resource utilization while minimizing the energy consumption. The paper presents an enhanced multi-objective energy-efficient priority-based task scheduling Approach (E-PTSA+). The proposed approach is meant to improve the resource allocation for a dynamic and heterogeneous cloud computing system. The approach extends the existing E-PTSA model by incorporating improved task–VM mapping, adaptive resource balancing, and an advanced allocation strategy that jointly optimizes energy consumption and resource utilization. The proposed E-PTSA+ introduces a multi-objective framework and an improved allocation mechanism that boosts resource utilization in an energy aware manner. Moreover, the proposed framework
provides a consolidated evaluation across multiple virtual machine configurations, offering deeper insights into system performance under varying workloads. The experimental results of the proposed approach are tested in a heterogeneous manner while varying the tasks and the VMs. Notably, E-PTSA+ achieves better resource utilization across all VM configurations in an improved energy aware manner. The results show that the proposed framework works well to find a good balance between energy efficiency and resource optimization. This makes it a good choice for cloud computing. Environments that are large and use a lot of data.
